    Warbird Consulting Partners is seeking an Interim Director, Biomedical Engineering to be responsible for the oversight and management of Medical Devices and the BioMedical Engineering teams for one of our clients in the Pacific Northwest. Our client has requested this type of work for a specific project and has engaged Warbird to find the most qualified consultant for the project.

    • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Biomedical Engineering technicians including staffing, policies and procedures, budget, and service
    • Implementation of new medical devices as well as preventative maintenance and support of existing medical devices to meet accreditation requirements
    • Direct and manage the safe, efficient and effective operations of biomedical equipment throughout all facilities
    • Ensure the security of medical devices and the integrity of data acquired, including the protection of all PHI on medical devices
    • Plan, direct, and manage resources including hiring staff, repairs, supplies, servicing to ensure the equipment is fully operational
    • Direct the thinking around the integration of medical devices to the acute and ambulatory Electronic Medical Record


    Job Requirements

    Education & Experience

    • BA degree in healthcare, engineering, IT or other technical field. Master’s degree preferred.
    • 7-10  years of biomedical engineering experience.
    • Five  years staff management experience.
    • Three years project management experience leading complex initiatives including assessment, planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of new processes, applications, and/or systems. 
    • Experience at multi-tasking and working in high-pressure situations and able to deliver quality and on time results.
    • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and other state, federal, and local laws.
