The successful candidate will be working under the leadership of our Revenue Cycle Solutions leader with a team of AR Specialists on site at the client's location in the mid-west.
As the financial Analyst on the team, you will be required to provide sound and objective analytical support to the team in order for aged accounts to be reduced and increase revenues to the client . You must have a strong understanding of the revenue cycle and claims processing on the hospital and physician side and proactively work to streamline and enhance the operational reporting and understanding of the PFS department. The Financial Analyst will collect, analyze, and prepare financial data, analyze fiscal accounting and related systems, regulatory submissions, and reimbursement to support the team.
During the first thirty (30) days of implementation of the project, Warbird’s SWAT Team will establish a formal denial tracking method to record the detail for all denied claims, the steps required to appeal, and the ultimate result. This approach will help determine trends of denials by payer, type of denials and types of denials.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration or Hospital Administration or related field preferred.
Strong prior financial analysis experience, strong excel/spreadsheet abilities.
Min +3-5 years experience in a hospital Financial Analyst role, reviewing Revenue Cycle reports.
Strong knowledge of hospital and physician side revenue cycle, billing, and reimbursement
Very proficient/Advanced Excel skills and able to create pivot tables, v-look ups, etc.
Must be able to travel on site to the mid-west for the project, estimated 3-5 months, weekly travel is typically Monday - Thursday; Friday remote.
