    Warbird Consulting Partners is seeking qualified Denial Management Specialists for future assignments. While we may not have an immediate position open for you, we regularly need consultants in an On Demand basis for our clients.     Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Analyze, resolve, monitor and report denials to the Revenue Cycle Manager as appropriate
    • Identify root cause of issues and concerns and determine a resolution
    • Research insurance billing and adjustment identification to ensure proper account resolution
    • Review and interpret Contractual Terms for Managed Care, Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid
    • Follow-up with insurance companies on billed claims regarding claim status and resolution of payments in a timely manner
    • Access systems to determine insurance eligibility and filing status in order to prepare claims for receivables
    • Request relevant documents from hospitals to perform insurance billing
    • Accurately track payments and payment verifications
    • File letters of appeal on claims denied by various insurance carriers
    • Perform extensive telephone contact to the insurance companies to conclude payment on the denied claims.

    Job Requirements

    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Account Representative in a hospital setting
    • Minimum 1 year experience with clinical and technical claims denial management – Epic
    • Experience with hospital Payor contracts
    • Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology
    • Experience with commercial and government payors
    • Knowledge of Method II Billing for Critical Access Hospitals
    • Microsoft Word and Excel experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations
