    Warbird seeks qualified candidates for an Interim Director, Physician Compensation role with a top tier Academic Medical Group in the Southeast. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of compensation models that ensure the efficient use and allocation of resources in the recruitment, compensation, and retention of providers.

    • Provide leadership over the provider compensation plan and other analytics as directed by the practice
    • Develop, recommend, and maintain benchmarks and standards for compensation to ensure consistency in methodologies and to aid in the analysis of model effectiveness and the identification of best practices
    • Present and deliver productivity, compensation, and associated reports and information dissemination to appropriate departmental units
    • Collaborate with other units to further develop and facilitate financial information throughout the system and its timely delivery
    • Manage compensation and productivity data and interface with benchmark data organizations to submit, receive, and validate benchmark data and with external entities to conduct Fair Market Value (FMV) compensation assessments
    • Perform calculation of quarterly and annual incentive allocation to ensure accurate and timely preparation of incentive payments
    • Ensure maintenance of proper documentation of all Provider Compensation agreements and amendments
    • Other responsibilities as may be assigned



    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field required; Master's degree is preferred  
    • Five years of experience in Physician Compensation Models required, prior Academic Medical Center Environment preferred 
    • Five years’ experience in health care administration, financial analysis, accounting and/or related field.  Prior management experience is preferred
    • Comprehensive knowledge of provider compensation plan designs, compensation theories, and best practices
    • Knowledge of University financial and performance reporting systems as well as national compensation and productivity databases
    • Microsoft PowerPoint and Word Proficient Advanced Excel Modeling and Analysis
