    Warbird seeks an experienced REMOTE ProFee Coder for a large healthcare system in the Southeast. The Coding Specialists will be responsible for coding medical records utilizing ICD-10 and CPT coding classification systems, and requires specific expertise in cardiology (preferred) and neurology physician coding.

    • Abstracting and coding charts in cardiology and neurology
    • Ensure that all cardiology and neurology services documented in the patients' charts are coded with appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes.
    • Obtain proper documentation in a timely manner according to facility standards.
    • Work the review queue on a daily basis to ensure all charts are worked and any corrections are communicated to the facility if necessary
    • Provide accurate answers to physician's/hospitals coding and/or billing questions




    Job Requirements

    • Associates Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field
    • CPC certification required
    • Required Cardiology coding experience
    • Minimum 2 years' coding experience
    • Proficiency in coding and abstracting software

    Duration: 2-2.5 months


    This role requires onsite presence the first week, and will be REMOTE after that
